Reflections on 2013 - Bring on 2014!

As I look back on 2013, I just have to give glory and praise to God for all He has done and I want to share it with you! At the very beginning of the year the Lord spoke to my heart to not live 2013 like I had other years, He was challenging me to go deeper spiritually. So right then and there I took on His challenge and determined in my heart that I would not settle into a mundane year of spirituality in my christian walk. As a busy mother of 5 children I determined that every spare moment to spend with the Lord would count. As the Lord called me into my prayer closet I heard Him say, "I am giving you an insatiable desire for lost souls". At first I didn't even know what the word insatiable meant, so I looked it up and it means unable to satisfy or un-appeasable. By April I knew that fasting was required and the Lord called me to 120 days (by the end of the year) of fasting a meal a day and praying. I started a weekly prayer group at my moms home consisting of several aunties and friends. Our focus for prayer was our families and awakening. The Lord showed me that we need to take dominion over our families and proclaim household salvations for our loved ones. We began to see the Lord move powerfully in our midst with many testimonies of answered prayers. By the fall we felt to host Household Salvation Prayer gatherings in our county and cry out to God for souls and revival. The gatherings last fall began a flame in people for prayer and it was so exciting to see people responding to the call to pray! During the fall the Lord also started birthing several songs in my heart! I believed the songs were prophetic for our nation and the more songs that came the more I realized we must record them. So Jan 1st of this year I was flying down to Kansas City and we recorded our new album The Prayer right across the road from the International House of Prayer! (thats a story in itself!) haha… I'm as equally excited to enter 2014 and I have an anticipation in my heart for breakthrough in prayer for my loved ones, your loved ones, and to see the power of God displayed with His manifest presence in our midst! In sharing my testimony with you, its not to bring attention to myself. I believe that our testimonies hold the anointing of God to minister to others and if what I share will encourage you to be challenged in the same way then its worth me taking the time to blog! Love to you all!
